Austin-Bergstrom International Airport
In order to promote Austin as travel destination in combination with the newly launched KLM-flight from Amsterdam to the capital of Texas, Zapper PR executed a marketing campaign. The campaign covered multiple channels to reach different audiences.
Objective
Our partner Austin-Bergstrom International Airport asked us to promote Austin as a travel destination in the Netherlands to drive tourism between the Netherlands and Austin with the new direct KLM flight. The objective of the activities was therefore to generate a big reach in the number of people.
Activity
Zapper PR arranged destination awareness and product development for KLM’s direct flight from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport to increase sales, awareness and knowledge about this new route.

Solution
Highlights of the CityZapper campaign were writing and publishing two blogs about highlights in Austin and also a promotion on social media of these blogs. We sent out a dedication newsletter as well. Austin was also mentioned in the monthly Newsflash.
We promoted Austin as a travel destination through banners on the CityZapper website.
