Aeroport Nice Côte d’Azur
In collaboration with Aeroport Nice Côte d’Azur and KLM, Zapper PR created sales and marketing activities in the Netherlands to promote the direct flight from Amsterdam to Nice operated by KLM. The campaign was focused on the destination and generating sales for KLM’s flight to Nice.
Objectives
The objective of this collaboration was to drive sales for the direct flight from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to Aeroport Nice Côte d’Azur and to create awareness for Nice as holiday destination in the shoulder seasons.
Activity
Zapper PR arranged content creation and a consumer activation to get Nice top-of-mind for Dutch travellers for their next citytrip or visit to the south of France. Activities that we executed were:
- Campaign on CityZapper
- Blogger Ads campaign
- Consumer activation: A giveaway of a citytrip to Nice
Solution
The solution to the objective was threefold. The first component was the campaign on CityZapper, our own blog platform focussing on citytrips. Nice was City of the Month in May 2022. This City of the Month campaign on CityZapper contained:
- City of the Month block
- Update of the city guide after a press trip by one of our colleagues
- Blogs
- Social media posts
- Advertisement blocks
- Banners
To create more awareness of Nice as holiday destination, we collaborated with different bloggers who all wrote an article on their blog about Nice. Topics varied from ‘Where to eat in Nice?’ to ‘The most interesting museums in Nice’ and ‘Outdoor activities in Nice’. This Blogger Ads campaign consisted of 12 bloggers split up into 3 groups. To reach an even bigger audience, the different blogs were linked to each other through our unique Blogger Ads system and every blogger promoted their social media post about their blog on Meta.
Lastly, a giveaway of a citytrip to Nice was organized in collaboration with Relay (part of Lagardère Travel Retail). They have 7 stores on some of the biggest train stations in the Netherlands where they sell a variety of items like books, gifts, food and beverages. Customers could take part in the giveaway with a code that they received on their receipt. The prize to be won was:
- Direct KLM-flights from Amsterdam to Nice
- 2 nights in a hotel in the city centre, including breakfast
- 2 French Riviera Passes
The winner was able to bring a companion on the trip.
