Health Tourism Düsseldorf
In collaboration with Düsseldorf Tourismus GmbH, Zapper PR is the official partner in the Netherlands and United Kingdom for the Health Tourism campaign. In this project, Düsseldorf Tourismus GmbH wants to showcase the possibilities of health tourism to the Dutch and British market. Düsseldorf is the perfect city to combine state-of-the-art medical care with an inspiring city break. As a municipal subsidiary, Düsseldorf Tourismus GmbH brings together the most important players in and around Düsseldorf and presents the entire catalogue of services on a special platform about health tourism.
Objective
The objective of the campaign is to inspire future travellers for a visit to Düsseldorf and discover the possibilities of health tourism and to generate traffic to the Health Tourism website. In order to cover different medical disciplines, three different story lines about a medical treatment are used in this campaign: preventive health check-up, orthopaedics and neurosurgery. We decided to develop 3 story lines, so that it became more concrete for the markets what they can expect from Health Tourism.
Activity
In order to reach the objective, Zapper PR organized the following activities in collaboration with Düsseldorf Tourismus GmbH, and especially the health tourism department.

Solution
To tell the different story lines for the medical disciplines, Zapper PR arranged 6 models to create the image material for the campaign. During a production trip to Düsseldorf Zapper PR created different images per story line in the city and also in the medical clinics, to show case what a medical trip to Düsseldorf would look like. To generate further promotion for the Düsseldorf Health Tourism campaign and the different story lines, the following promotional activities were initiated: an extensive Blogger Ads campaign with three Dutch and three English bloggers and a campaign on social media.
